Nigerian billionaire businessman and father of music star Davido, Adedeji Adeleke, has stirred reactions online after revealing the scale of his investments in Nigeria’s energy sector.
In a statement that quickly gained traction on social media, Adeleke declared: “I am a businessman in the energy sector. I own power plants and generate about 15% of Nigeria’s electricity. I also own Chinese engineering companies, and I’m building a new 1,250MW power plant—the biggest in Nigeria’s history, worth $2 billion.”
