Award-winning Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has shared insights into her life following the massive success of her latest film, Oversabi Aunty, which surpassed ₦1 billion at the Nigerian box office.
The film, released on December 19, 2025, has become the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time. Its title was inspired by a viral moment at Priscilla Ojo’s wedding, where Abraham’s lively personality earned her the nickname “Oversabi.”
Oversabi Aunty features a strong ensemble cast including Mike Ezuruonye, Tana Adelana, Jemima Osunde, and Ngozi Ezeonu.
Reacting to the milestone on social media, Abraham joked about the demands that have come with the success, writing:
“Ever since I made over 1B, I’ve not rested 😂😂… so this is what this level feels like 😂.”
Meanwhile, the actress has also addressed claims made by Abike Shugaa regarding payment and deleted scenes from the film Ijakumo. Shugaa alleged she received ₦50,000 for her role and later found out her scenes were removed.
In response, Abraham clarified that the ₦50,000 payment was specifically for two scenes in Ijakumo, which were ultimately cut by the director. She added that Shugaa was paid ₦500,000 for a separate project, Malaika.
