Dare devil gunmen have abducted the Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Hon. Okakuro Bright Afure Abeke, in Delta State.
He was whisked away by the hoodlums to their unknown hideout few minutes ago – about 7:25p.m.
He was reported trailed to his hotel room at the Debrofred, along Owumi Road in Sapele.
An eyewitness said the assailants stormed the hotel in a Range Rover Car, pretended to come and lodge but suddenly opened fire on one Ufuoma, a vigilante, and one other victim before whisking the council boss away.
The victims were said to have been swiftly rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
Stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other sympathizers have been flooding the hostel and his residence.
