The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has delisted 23 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the country over technical deficiencies detected during the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The examination body also warned several other centres over minor technical issues, while declaring that one centre in Lagos would no longer be used for any of its examinations.
JAMB disclosed this in a statement signed by its spokesperson,.Dr. Fabian Benjamin on Friday, explaining that the decision followed an internal review conducted after the mock examination designed to test the board’s operational readiness ahead of the main examination.
According to the board, the mock UTME serves not only to familiarise candidates with the Computer-Based Test environment but also to help the board assess the preparedness and compliance level of accredited centres.
“The Mock UTME also serves as a critical platform for the Board to assess its level of preparedness. It provides an opportunity to identify centres that fall short of the required operational and technical standards,” the board stated.
Following the exercise, the board said its internal review mechanisms identified several centres that failed to meet the required operational standards, prompting decisive action to safeguard the integrity of the examination process.
The affected centres cut across several states including Abia, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, the Federal Capital Territory, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo and Plateau.
Among those delisted were Bishop Crowther Seminary CBT Centre in Awka, Anambra State; Derby’s Young ICT Centre in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State; Avid ICT Solutions CBT Centre in Asaba, Delta State; Daniet Global Resources in Benin City, Edo State; and De-Lite CBT Centre located at Model Secondary School, Maitama, Abuja.
In Lagos State, several centres were affected, including Florin High School CBT Centre in Ejigbo, Folbob CBT Centre in Lakowe, Great Kezino College CBT Centre in Ikorodu, Obans CBT Centre also in Ikorodu, and Teesas Learning and CBT Centre along Lekki Expressway.
Similarly, centres in Ogun, Osun, Oyo and Plateau states were among those delisted for failing to meet the board’s operational requirements.
JAMB further announced that Ha-Shem Academy CBT Centre located at 15 Owodunni Street, off Iwaya Road, Yaba, Lagos, would no longer be used for any of its examinations.
The board noted that other centres with minor technical issues had been issued warnings and would be closely monitored to ensure compliance before the main UTME.
JAMB reiterated its commitment to maintaining the credibility and smooth conduct of its examinations nationwide.
The board stated that only centres that were fully prepared and compliant with its operational and technical standards would be allowed to participate in the main UTME exercise.
