Group Raises Concern Over PDP Leadership Crisis

A political movement known as Kaura Force has expressed concern over the lingering leadership disputes within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), warning that unresolved internal conflicts could weaken opposition politics in Nigeria.

Speaking during a press conference in Bauchi to announce the launch of the movement, the group said democracy requires strong and vibrant opposition institutions.

According to the organisers, the current disagreements within the PDP should ideally be resolved through dialogue and consensus in order to strengthen the party’s internal democratic processes.

They noted that prolonged disputes have created uncertainty within the opposition platform, which they described as one of the largest political parties on the African continent.

The group also stated that Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has earned national recognition for his leadership style and commitment to democratic values.

However, they stressed that any future political decision regarding party affiliation remains the constitutional right of the governor as a Nigerian citizen.

The movement maintained that its primary focus is to promote responsible political participation and protect democratic ideals.
