The Ologodidan Jezi Foundation (OJF Global) yesterday honoured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Bernard Mohammed Doro, at the second edition of the Food Drive initiative.
The event held at the Eagles Square, Abuja, was part of the foundation’s vision to reduce poverty and spread humanitarian services across Nigeria.
Chairman of the United Kingdom Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC), UK and chairman of all diaspora chairmen, Hon. Tunde Doherty, represented the minister, Hon. Bernard Mohammed Doro at the event.
Doherty, acknowledged the role of the Non Governmental Organisations in promoting humanitarian services across Nigeria.
He praised the organisers for their far- reaching efforts at alleviating poverty in the country.
The APC UK chairman urged all participants at the event to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, maintaining that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, under the leadership of the Minister, Doro, would continue to support initiative and programmes that could help in reducing poverty in Nigeria.
“I want to express my appreciation to the organisers of this event. The initiative was part of the ongoing efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, through the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation to reduce poverty across the country.
“I want to assure you all that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will continue to support ideas and initiatives that will positively impact the lives of Nigerians,” he stated.
Doherty explained that the awards given to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a testament to the Renewed Hope Agenda of the administration.
Meanwhile, Founder of OJF Global and its Global Diplomatic Peace Chairperson, Dr Rachael Ojuade, said meaningful humanitarian services has remained the hallmark of the Tinubu administration.
Ojuade stated also that the second edition of the event was to create the atmosphere for Nigerians and build relationship between the organisation and the government in other to fulfill the goals of the organisation.
