The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has called the impeachment proceedings by the Rivers State House of Assembly on Governor Siminalayi Fubara a legislative Coup de Etat against the people of the state.
The spokesperson for the Emeka Beke-led Rivers APC camp, Darlington Nwauju, in a statement expressed concern over the decision of the state lawmakers, to continue with the impeachment even though a court has halted it.
The APC called on the Lawmakers to comply to a court restraining Justice Simeon Amadi from receiving or acting on any resolution of the Rivers State House of Assembly, warning that failure to comply could become a dangerous footnote in the survival of the party in Rivers State.
