Zamfara State Government has constituted a technical committee already deployed to identify a suitable parcel of land in Anka local government area north senatorial zone with a view to strengthen security operations and sustain socioeconomic development in the state.
The committee was constituted through the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, in collaboration with the Ministry for Local Government, Ministry for Housing, Zamfara Geographic Information System (ZAGIS), Anka Local Government Council, the Anka Emirate Council, and representatives of security agencies.
In furtherance of this mandate, the Ministry dispatched a technical team to Anka to carry out comprehensive field inspections, stakeholder consultations, and technical assessments in line with established planning, safety, and regulatory standards.
The committee’s assignment is currently ongoing, and upon completion, a suitable site will be recommended for the proposed project.
The committee which is chaired by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of works, Engr. Haruna Dikko, and is headed on the field by the Director of Civil Engineering, Engineer Amiru Musa Anka, who also serves as the Secretary of the Committee, bringing professional leadership and technical expertise to the assignment.
This initiative aligns with the commitment of the Zamfara State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, to enhance connectivity, strengthen security operations, and promote sustainable socio-economic development across the state.
