We’re In Receipt of Dangote’s Petition Against NMDPRA CEO – ICPC

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), has confirmed that it received a petition on Tuesday 16th December from Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote against the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Alhaji Farouk Ahmed.

It noted that the petition was submitted on behalf of the billionaire business mogul through his attorney, whose name was not disclosed.

New Telegraph gathered that the petition borders on allegations of “corruption and financial impropriety”.

The Commission has assured that the complaint will be duly investigated.

In a terse statement by its spokesperson, John Osey, the anti-corruption commission said: “The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) writes to confirm that it received a formal petition today Tuesday 16th December, 2025 from Alhaji Aliko Dangote through his lawyer. The petition is against the CEO of the NMDPRA, Alhaji Farouk Ahmed.

“The ICPC wishes to state that the petition will be duly investigated.
