Violent clashes have broken out between Pakistan and Afghanistan, resulting in casualties and injuries. The latest incident occurred after gunfire was exchanged between Pakistani and Afghan forces in the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar, Afghanistan. According to reports, at least four civilians were killed and several others injured in the clash.
Both sides have accused each other of initiating the violence. The Taliban-run Afghan government claims Pakistani forces attacked first, while Pakistan says Afghan forces fired without provocation. The clashes are part of an ongoing conflict between the two countries that has been escalating in recent months.
The tensions began after a failed meeting between Pakistani and Afghan officials, aimed at resolving issues related to border security and militant groups. Pakistan has long accused Afghanistan of harboring militants, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which has carried out attacks in Pakistan. Afghanistan denies these allegations, saying Pakistan is violating its sovereignty.
The situation remains tense, with both countries deploying additional troops to the border. The international community has called for calm and restraint, urging both sides to resolve their differences through dialogue.
