Police Headquarters Alleged Special Squad, have arrested former Kano Chairman Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission, Barrister Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado.
Although not immediate reasons for arrest was explained, but it might be unconnected with a complaint tabled by the Former APC National Chairman Dr Umar Abdullahi Ganduje against Barrister Muhyi.
A competent source told our Correspondent that the police came in a truckload, fully armed in a Gestapo manner, allegedly threatening to shoot whoever prevented them from carrying out their actions.
The Source, however notes that as at the time of arresting Rimigado at his Law Firm on Zaria, the Squad could not show or even attempt to show arrest warrant.
‘’He asked them to show him the warrant of arrest or the reasons for his arrest, which they outrightly declined,” the source added.
‘’They claimed to come from the Police Force Headquarters, Abuja, ’’ Barrister Muhyi Lawyer Ridwan Zakariyya explained.
”When we got to the Bompai Police headquarters, we were told that the police team are from the IGP Squad in Abubakar, a lawyer in his chamber, Ridwan Zakariyya confirmed.
”They tried to seize my phone, threatening that they would shoot me,” the lawyer said.
