Rapper Jesse Jaz made an unexpected appearance on media personality Daddy Freeze’s Instagram Live session last night, sharply criticising him and other Nigerians for fueling conversations around 2Face Idibia’s alleged marital issues.
The controversy began on Monday, December 1, when 2Face’s former manager, Kaka Igbokwe, joined Freeze for an interview in which he dropped a series of startling allegations. He claimed that 2Face’s wife, Natasha, had been physically abusive, was controlling the singer’s finances, and that both spouses were struggling with substance abuse and in need of therapy and rehabilitation. The revelations sent social media into a frenzy, with many Nigerians calling for 2Face to be “rescued.”
However, on Wednesday, December 3, the music icon urged the public to “cease fire,” warning that the harsh criticism directed at his wife was dangerous and could put her at risk.
During the subsequent live session, Jesse Jaz stormed into the chat, insisting that 2Face is a legend who deserves peace, not public speculation. Visibly smoking as he spoke, he expressed frustration over the ongoing commentary and announced he would be leaving Jos for Abuja to personally “free” 2Face from the chaos.
“I’m heading from Jos to Abuja tomorrow morning,” he declared. “I’m physically going to get 2Baba, let him relax, drink a beer, and cool off.”
His animated appearance sparked both concern and conversation among viewers.
