Officials of the Oyo State Fire Service on Monday rescued a 27-year-old man who fell into a well in Ogbomoso Town of Oyo State.
The agency disclosed this in a statement signed by its Chairman, Maroof Akinwande, and made available to journalists on Tuesday.
In his account, Akinwande said the agency received a distress call that someone had fallen into a deep well on Monday. He disclosed that the incident occurred at Ire Akari, Adeniran area in Ogbomoso. After removing him alive, he was handed over to the Police.
The Chairman said, “On Monday 1st December, 2025 at exactly 7:00hrs, we were summoned that somebody fell inside a well at Ire Akari, Adeniran area, Ogbomoso.
“On getting to the scene, it was discovered that a man of about 27yrs old, named Alagbe Gbemisoye fell into a deep well. He was recovered and handed over to the D.P.O, Owode Police Station’, Akinwande said.
