The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), expressed its appreciation and commendation to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, for his remarkable “Back to School” initiative, targeting 100 schools in Abia North.
According to a statement jointly signed on Thursday by Comrade Goodluck Ibem, President General and Comrade Okey Nwaoru, Publicity Secretary, the initiative, which includes the distribution of essential school bags and writing materials, is a vital step in strengthening basic education and combating illiteracy in our communities.
Part of the statement reads: “Senator Kalu’s unwavering commitment to education reflects a profound understanding of its central role in societal development and aligns perfectly with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The provision of educational tools to primary school pupils not only alleviates the financial burdens faced by parents but also instills a sense of hope and motivation among the students. By nurturing a conducive learning environment, this initiative ensures that the children of Abia North have the opportunities they deserve to realize their full potential.
“As the foundation visits schools such as Igbere Central School, Lohum Imenyi Central School, Township School Ozuakoli, Ovim Community School, and Umuhu Ezechi Community School, we have witnessed firsthand the gratitude of beneficiaries and their renewed commitment to their studies.
“The five-day outreach serves to strengthen the bond between the students, teachers, and the foundation while fostering a spirit of community support that is essential for effective education.
“COSEYL recognizes that the stark disparities in education across our nation require urgent attention and collective action.
