The Sokoto State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated its committee for the forthcoming elective National Convention of the party.
The committee, comprising dedicated and seasoned party members, was inaugurated by the State Chairman, Hon. Muhammadu Bello Aliyu Goronyo, in Sokoto.
According to a statement issued by Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal, Publicity Secretary of PDP Sokoto State, the Chairman charged the committee members to ensure that the party’s interests are protected and advanced during the national convention.
The committee is expected to work assiduously to ensure the successful participation of delegates from Sokoto State in the convention, slated for the 15th and 16th of this month.
The inauguration of this committee is a testament to the party’s unwavering commitment to democratic principles and internal democracy.
The Sokoto State PDP is poised to ensure a free, fair, and credible convention that will further strengthen the party.
The party leadership urges all members to rally behind the committee and support its efforts to ensure the success of the national convention.
The committee is headed by PDP State Organising Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Chika Shuni, as Chairman, while the Assistant State Secretary, Alhaji Mustapha Lanas Gidadawa, will serve as Secretary.
Other members of the committee include Minority Leader of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Magaji; Alhaji Abdullahi Kiryo Yabo, National Delegate; State Legal Adviser of the Party, Barrister Abdulrahman Abubakar; State Auditor, Alhaji Nasiru Shehu Kware; State Publicity Secretary, Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal.
Chairman of the Local Government Chairmen Forum, Alhaji Bello Mai Karfi; and PDP North-West Zonal Youths Leader, Atiku Muhammad Yabo.
