The family drama involving Nollywood star Regina Daniels and her estranged billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has taken a new turn online — and the tension keeps rising.
Regina’s elder brother, Sweezzy, has launched a petition accusing the politician of alleged intimidation and abuse of power. In less than 24 hours, the petition has already pulled in over 18,000 verified signatures, fuelling massive conversation across social media.
Sweezzy encouraged Nigerians and the international community to join the move, stressing that Ned Nwoko, who is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, could face professional scrutiny from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in the UK, even though he lives in Nigeria.
Posting on his Instagram story, he wrote:
“Matters like domestic abuse, harassment, and abuse of power are treated seriously in the UK. Run it up by signing the petition.”
The petition also comes at a time when the family is under public spotlight following the arrest of Sammy West, another of Regina’s brothers, who has been openly defending his sister through the crisis.
Social media reactions have been loud and supportive. Many Nigerians have applauded Sweezzy for speaking up, calling on more people to sign and demand accountability.
With thousands already backing the petition and conversations spreading globally, the situation has now moved far beyond Nollywood drama — it has become a heated legal and social debate watched by Nigerians at home and abroad.
