NSA Meets Security Chiefs Over US Threat

The National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, has met with security chiefs and heads of security and intelligence agencies at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Abuja.

The meeting came folliwing the recent threat of a possible military action by the United States on Nigeria over alleged genocide against Christians.

New Telegraph gathered that the meeting was aimed at assessing the implications of President Donald Trump’s accusations that the federal government has failed to protect Christians from radical Islamist groups in the country.

Specifically, the meeting was convened to coordinate a unified national security response and review intelligence assessments on the potential implications of Trump’s pronouncement.

Although the meeting held behind closed doors. Its outcome is expected to be communicated through official channels from the Office of the National Security Adviser.
