Bizarre as ADC Appoints Labour Party’s Nenadi Usman as Reconciliation Chairman

In what many observers have described as an unusual political twist, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has appointed former Minister of Finance, Senator Nenadi Usman, who is currently the National Chairman of the Peter Obi faction of the Labour Party (LP), as its Coalition Chairman to lead reconciliation efforts in Kaduna State.

The decision, announced on Monday, is part of the ADC’s broader move to restore unity and resolve the lingering crisis that has crippled its Kaduna State chapter in recent months.

Speaking at a press conference in Kaduna, the ADC National Vice Chairman (North-West), Ja’afaru Sani, said the appointment of Senator Usman was aimed at strengthening opposition cooperation and fostering peace among party members across the North-West region.

According to Sani, Senator Usman’s wealth of political experience and reputation for bridge-building made her a suitable choice to lead reconciliation and coordination efforts within the troubled state chapter.
“The African Democratic Congress remains committed to peace and unity, both within our structures and among the broader opposition family,” Sani stated.

“Senator Nenadi Usman’s appointment is a strategic step towards healing divisions in Kaduna and ensuring that our members return to the path of collective progress.”
