Former Super Eagles midfielder, Mutiu Adepoju, has expressed joy and pride as his daughter, Atinuke Adepoju, graduated from Brussels Aviation School and officially became a licensed pilot.
The former Nigerian international, fondly called “Headmaster” during his playing days, took to social media to celebrate Atinuke’s achievement, describing her success as a reward for hard work, focus, and determination.
“Congratulations, my daughter, Atinuke Adepoju! I’m so proud of you and your remarkable achievement — graduating from Brussels Aviation School and successfully passing your PPL skill test,” he wrote. “Your dedication, resilience, and passion for aviation have truly paid off. Keep flying higher, my dear — the sky is only your beginning.”
Adepoju, who represented Nigeria at the 1994 FIFA World Cup and was part of the golden generation that won the 1994 AFCON, said Atinuke’s achievement shows that with focus and determination, young Nigerians can excel in any field.
Atinuke now joins the growing list of Nigerian women making waves in aviation — a field once dominated by men. Her proud father wished her “clear skies and endless adventures” as she begins her professional journey as a pilot.
