Renowned Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has expressed pride in her heritage, declaring that she would still choose to be Nigerian in her next life.
Cuppy made the statement on Wednesday in an Instagram post marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
Reflecting on the country’s resilience amid challenges, the entertainer praised the determination and vibrant spirit of Nigerians.
“My home, my country Nigeria is 65 today. Through it all, our people keep pushing, persevering, and finding joy even in the toughest times,” she wrote.
She went on to affirm her love for her roots, describing Nigeria as a nation blessed with strength and vitality.
“God did not rush when He made us. He gave us resilience, spirit, and endless energy. In my next life, I’d still choose to be Nigerian,” Cuppy added.
