Nigerian Afrobeats star, Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has dismissed viral reports alleging that his bank accounts were frozen.
In an official statement released on Thursday, the singer described the claims as false and fabricated, insisting that they were a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image.
The rumors, which spread rapidly across social media and entertainment blogs earlier this week, alleged that Kizz Daniel was ordered to pay €200,000 in damages, leading to the freezing of his assets.
Kizz Daniel, however, clarified that he has no such case in court and urged fans, industry stakeholders, and the general public to disregard the reports.
“Kizz Daniel has no such case in court, and no accounts have been frozen. We urge fans, partners, and the general public to disregard this fabricated story,” the statement read in part.
The multi-award-winning singer, famous for hit songs such as “Buga,” “Woju,” and “Lie,” has continued to enjoy massive success across Africa and beyond, with a strong international fanbase and consistent chart-topping releases.
