Complications arise as popular influencer undergoes successful first-stage surgery

Nigerian social media influencer, Baddy of Lagos, has met a setback following a successful first-stage corrective surgery at the Saudi German Hospital in Alexandria, Egypt, weeks after a crowdfunding appeal was launched on his behalf.
The online campaign was initiated by fellow influencer Wizarab, who had rallied support for Baddy’s treatment following his long battle with a leg condition that required urgent medical intervention.
In a recent update shared via video, Wizarab confirmed that Baddy underwent a 7-hour operation on his right leg, which doctors described as successful. However, medical experts advised against operating on both legs at once due to the severity of his condition.
“Baddy has carried out a successful 7-hour surgery on his right leg. According to the doctors, they can’t operate on both legs at the same time. The left leg is a bigger operation and will require two surgeries. When he recovers, he will return to operate on the left leg,” Wizarab explained.
In the video, Baddy could be heard acknowledging the excruciating pain he was experiencing while also expressing gratitude for the successful outcome. He revealed that doctors decided to focus on his right leg alone, as his body might not have been able to withstand simultaneous procedures on both legs.
The medical team emphasised that once the right leg heals, the next stage will involve two separate operations on the left leg, which presents greater complications.
Baddy’s health journey has sparked sympathy and support across social media, with fans and well-wishers continuing to send prayers and encouragement as he begins his recovery process.
