Tragedy! Nigerian Polytechnic students pass away after ₦30k race bet ends in crash
Three students of Gateway Polytechnic, Saapade, Ogun State, have died after placing a ₦30,000 bet to race each other, crashing into a shop and killing two pedestrians.
According to a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the students had each wagered ₦30,000 to see who would win the race.
The reckless event ended tragically when their car crashed into a shop, killing two pedestrians instantly. The three students also died at the scene.
Video footage shows residents mourning, with the bodies of the pedestrians visible in the clip.
