Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has received a fresh appointment from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, just days after stepping down from his party leadership role.
Ganduje has now been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The announcement was officially made during the formal inauguration of the newly constituted FAAN board in Abuja.
The appointment is seen as a quick return to public service for the former Kano State governor, following his resignation from the APC top position amid internal party tensions.
With this new role, Ganduje is expected to play a key part in helping shape policies and oversee the development of Nigeria’s airport infrastructure at a time when the country is pushing to improve transportation, tourism, and foreign investment.
