Ronaldo Fever Hits Hong Kong: Fans Flock to First CR7 Museum Outside Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo fans in Hong Kong turned up in droves on Monday to witness the grand opening of the “CR7 LIFE Museum,” an exhibition dedicated to the football icon. The event, held at a luxury shopping mall, marks the first-ever Ronaldo museum outside of his home country, Portugal.

Over 100 excited fans formed a long queue, eager to take selfies with life-sized statues of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. From mid-air celebration poses to traditional Saudi dress tributes, the museum offers an immersive journey through Ronaldo’s illustrious career.

Fourteen-year-old Alvin Lai, the first in line, shared his excitement: “Cristiano Ronaldo is my idol… he’s special.” Another fan, university student Henry Singh, praised Ronaldo’s work ethic and longevity, noting, “He’s 40 years old and still going very strong.”

The exhibition features an impressive collection of CR7 memorabilia, including autographed jerseys, trophies, and personal items. It spans an area of 12,000 square feet and aims to inspire young people with Ronaldo’s story of hard work, resilience, and ambition.

Ronaldo’s brother, Hugo dos Santos Aveiro, also made an appearance at the launch, signing jerseys and posing for photos with lucky visitors. According to Tomas Froes, a representative of the Ronaldo family office, the football legend is expected to visit the museum “very soon” to meet his fans in person.

The timing couldn’t be better — Ronaldo recently extended his contract with Saudi club Al Nassr and is scheduled to play in a pre-season tournament in Hong Kong next month. Froes emphasized that the museum is more than a tribute; it’s “a strong message for everyone to achieve their dreams.”

The CR7 LIFE Museum will remain open in Hong Kong for a year before touring mainland China. Organizers hope the exhibition will not only entertain but also motivate visitors from all walks of life.
