MTN Nigeria has thrown its weight behind the Anambra State Government’s digital education vision by donating 550 learning tablets to 11 smart schools across the state.
The announcement was made on Wednesday through Mazi Ejimofor Opara, Senior Special Adviser on New Media to Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Each school received 50 tablets for their libraries as part of the ‘Smart Learn’ Anambra programme, aimed at bridging the digital divide and preparing students for success in today’s tech-driven world.
Opara hailed the initiative as a meaningful step toward enhancing educational standards and giving students access to modern learning tools.
The official handover took place in the presence of:
Chiamaka Nnake, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning
Prof. Nkechi Perpetua Ikediugwu, Chairperson of the Post Primary School Service Commission
And top executives from MTN Nigeria
“This effort shows MTN and the state government’s shared commitment to grooming the next generation of leaders through quality education,” said Opara.
The Smart Learn programme is part of Governor Soludo’s broader vision for an innovative and inclusive educational system that leaves no child behind in the digital age.
