Ex-Agitators Commend Otuaro For Implementing Five-Point Agenda

The National Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Phase 2, Ibena Rufus Salvation, has commended the Administrator of the Programme, Chief Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro, for the effective implementation of his five-point agenda since assuming office.

The PAP leader speaking on behalf of the Phase 2 ex- agitators, praised Otuaro’s inclusive and proactive approach, which he said has brought fresh momentum and purpose to the programme.

Ibena in a statement on Monday, described Otuaro’s consistent engagement with ex-agitators, community leaders and other key stakeholders as a masterstroke that has boosted peace building and trust within the Niger Delta Region.

According to him, “this level of commitment and accessibility had been lacking in previous administrations.

The ex-agitators leader noted that since Otuaro assumed leadership of the programme, there has been a visible improvement in empowerment schemes, educational support, vocational training and reintegration efforts.

He added that beneficiaries are now beginning to feel the real impact of the amnesty deal.

He also acknowledged the administrator’s grassroots engagement style, stating that Otuaro has returned hope to many ex-agitators who had previously felt neglected.

“We are now seeing real action, not just promises.”

He also commended Otuaro for listening to the voices of the people and delivering on his promises, adding that PAP was gradually being restored to its original purpose, to bring sustainable peace and development to the Niger Delta.

Ibena assured the administrator of the full support and cooperation of Phase 2 leaders and members throughout his tenure.

“We will continue to stand with Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro because he has shown us that the Presidential Amnesty Programme is in capable and compassionate hands.”
