The acting national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ali Bukar Dalori, has called on party leaders and members to avoid actions that could cause disunity following the resignation of Dr Abdullahi Ganduje.
Speaking during the first APC National Working Committee (NWC) meeting since Ganduje’s exit, Dalori emphasized the need for discipline, reconciliation, and togetherness. He noted that while political transitions often bring uncertainty, the party must remain focused on unity and the progress of Nigeria.
Dalori said he would soon share a practical roadmap with party officials, focusing on member engagement, clear communication, discipline, and reconciliation.
He acknowledged Ganduje’s service and wished him a quick recovery, describing his leadership as impactful since he took office in August 2023. Dalori also stated that his new role is not about personal achievement, but a commitment to lead the party transparently and inclusively.
He urged NWC members to stay focused on strengthening the party’s structures and preparing for the 2027 elections. He also reaffirmed APC’s full support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing the Renewed Hope Agenda as a real-time action plan for national development.
Earlier, Senator Ajibola Basiru, APC’s National Secretary, formally presented Ganduje’s resignation letter to the committee. Following the party’s constitution, Dalori officially assumed the role of acting national chairman until a new one is chosen by the National Executive Committee.
Dalori reminded all members that this is a time to consolidate efforts, not a time for division or personal ambition.
