Former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are absent at the ongoing National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The meeting which is holding after several postponements since August last year, is being attended by some PDP governors, members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and Board of Trustees (BoT).
Atiku is one of the drivers of the coalition group against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
He is being rumoured to perfecting his way to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Wike who is serving in the APC government, has announced his withdrawal from the PDP reconciliation process over alleged breach of agreement.
The minister had wanted his alley Senator Samuel Anyanwu to be retained as the PDP National Secretary.
Anyanwu is also absent at the meeting, Sunday Ude-Okoye who has been nominated by the PDP South East stakeholders to replace him, is attending.
On Monday, officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) sealed PDP National Secretariat few hours before the commencement of the meeting.
Though President Bola Tinubu had intervened and ordered that the secretariat should be unsealed, but at the commencement of the meeting, the secretariat was still sealed.
The meeting is holding at the Legacy House, PDP presidential campaign office.
A communique is expected at the end of the meeting.
