Davido says his twin son looks like late Ifeanyi
Award-winning Afrobeat singer Davido has opened up in an emotional interview about his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
Speaking on Apple Music 1 with Ebro Darden, he revealed how scary it is that his twin son shares a striking resemblance with his late son. According to him, he and Chioma believe Ifeanyi came back through their twin boy.
Opening up on his death, Davido said the loss made him chill, take care of his wife and family and get his head right.
Reflecting on the pain, he stated that to come back for such heartbreak and be blessed with twins is indescribable. He added that it shows God is real.
“Crázy. That type of loss makes you just be like, “I’m out. I’m just going to chill, take care of my wife and, take care of the family and get my head right.” So just to come back from that loss and just be blessed with twins out of the gate, a boy and a girl. That’s crãzy. That’s great.
And the boy looks just like my son who passed. It’s scary. It’s like literally him. We’re like, “Nah, it’s him. He came back” type stuff.
But yes, just to be able to come back from that and just be happy, and then we had the wedding, and then the album went crãzy. It’s like, “Yo,” it’s like, “God is real.”
Recall that Davido and Chioma lost their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke on Monday, October 31, 2022, just a few days after he celebrated his 3rd birthday. It was alleged that the toddler drowned in his father’s swimming pool and was rushed to a popular Lagos hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
