The All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders in Badagry and Gbenu Youths Movement have endorsed Mr Ibrahim Yemaren for the chairmanship position in Badagry-West Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Speaking with newsmen, the convener of Gbenu Youth Movement, Comrade David Aladeotan, said the choice of Badagry West leaders in endorsing Mr Yemaren is a welcome idea to the youths.
According to him, Yemaren, who is the outgoing vice-chairman of the LCDA, has a strong moral foundation as a God-fearing man and his integrity capability will build trust between the electorate and the elected.
Aladeotan, who is widely known and called Water, stated that Rikay is a person known for honesty and transparency and will act in the best interest of the people rather than for personal gain.
He noted that the Vice-chairman has the political knowledge and experience needed to lead the people of the council, having relevant experience that prepares him above others to make sound decisions.
Also speaking, the Public Relations Officer of Gbenu Youth Movement, Comrade Adeyemi Adefulu, said Rikay’s leadership skills galvanised across many organisations and institutions and as CEO of Rikay Oil Nigeria Ltd., he possesses effective leadership skills that will inspire all, make informed decisions, and take responsibility for the betterment of all.
Adefulu stressed that over time, he has demonstrated the ability to lead teams, manage conflicts, and drive progress.
According to him, he is a good candidate with good listening habits to actively convey ideas clearly to diverse audiences, having contested for Lagos State of Assembly two consecutive times but was asked by leaders to step down.
Also speaking, the APC LGA, Badagry West, Mr. Peter Metome, said as the party chairman and member of the Apex Leaders Forum of Badagry West LCDA, endorsed Yemaren’s candidature, citing his humility, straightforwardness, and loyalty to the party. Metome said that almost all the leaders in the council have endorsed him
In his remarks, Yemaren reiterated his total commitment to selfless service, promising to prioritise the welfare, security, and development of the people.
He called on all APC members and the wider electorate to come out in large numbers to support the party and its candidates at all levels.
