Nollywood star Rotimi Salami just dropped a bombshell about his early struggles in the industry, revealing that producers straight-up sidelined him because of his face and body!
Spilling the tea on Feelrightnews TV’s YouTube channel, Salami got real about the grind—long treks to auditions, endless rejections, and heartbreaks that almost made him quit.
“It was tough, man!” he confessed. “I’d travel crazy distances just to audition, only to be told ‘Nah, you don’t fit the role.’”
And get this—for THREE YEARS, he only landed one movie role!. But the ultimate gut-punch? Producers telling him straight-up that his “small face and body” weren’t “leading man material.” Apparently, back then, the industry was all about buff, muscle-packed actors.
“I cried, man. Some producers literally told me I wasn’t getting roles because of my face and body,” Salami revealed.
