An NGO, Way Foundation on Tuesday congratulated Mr Yahaya Lateef on his appointment as a Commissioner in the Lagos State Civil Service Commission.
In a statement signed by Dr. Sewedo Samuel on behalf of the foundation, the group said the appointment was well-deserved.
According to him, Lateef also known as Way, has remained the biggest grassroots political mobilizer in the Badagry corridor, consistently demonstrating resilience, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to the progressive ideals of our party.
“Despite being deprived of his mandate as a candidate for the State Assembly multiple times, he never wavered in his dedication to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“His perseverance has finally been rewarded, proving that loyalty and steadfast service to the party do not go unnoticed,” he said.
The Foundation said the people of Badagry sincerely appreciated Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his Deputy, Mr Obafemi Hamzat, and the Chairman of APC, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, for recognizing the sacrifices and contributions of Way.
“Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our leader and Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Mr Tolani Sule, for keeping our hope alive.
“We also specially acknowledge a strong ally of the Way group, Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende, for his unwavering support in sustaining the movement over the years.
‘We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed party leaders in Badagry Federation for their unwavering support and dedication to our collective progress.
“In particular, we pay special tribute to our late Apex Leader, Dr Sunny Ajose, whose fatherly encouragement and steadfast belief in Yahaya and our group remain an enduring inspiration.
“His legacy of leadership, wisdom, and commitment to party unity will forever be cherished.
“We also appreciate all supporters of Way, as well as the loyal members of APC in Badagry, whose resilience, sacrifices, and steadfast commitment have been instrumental in this journey.
“Your trust and collective efforts have made this victory possible, and together, we will continue to advance the cause of progress and development for Badagry and Lagos State at large,” he said.
The Foundation also extended their deepest appreciation to our grand patron and political symbol, Mr Olusegun Onilude, the Chairman, Badagry Local Government Area, for absorbing the pressures from us, strategically aligning the dots, and ensuring this victory for the Badagry youths.
