Nigerians, brace yourselves—Multichoice is hiking DStv and GOtv subscription prices once again!
The cable TV giant announced the new rates in a statement to customers on Monday, confirming that the new prices will take effect from March 1, 2025.
The company cited rising operational costs, inflation, and the naira’s depreciation as the reasons behind the price increase.
Multichoice says the adjustment is necessary to maintain the quality of content and technology used in delivering services. However, Nigerians are already expressing frustration, given that this hike comes less than a year after the last price review.
The news has sparked a debate online, with many subscribers wondering if the value they receive matches the rising costs.
