A Lagos State High Court, presided over by Justice A.O. Adeyemi, has ruled in favour of 26-year-old Otutochi Channel Wigwe, daughter of the late Herbert Wigwe, former CEO of Access Holdings, in the legal battle over his estate. The ruling, delivered on February 6, 2025, also supported Uche Wigwe and Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede in the dispute that arose following Herbert Wigwe’s tragic death in a helicopter crash on February 9, 2024.
The court dismissed the application by Christian Wigwe and Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, who sought to appoint interim administrators for the estate, ruling their request unsustainable. The case, filed by Emeka Wigwe against Access Bank and others, included demands for joint guardianship of Herbert Wigwe’s minor children and oversight of their welfare. However, the court rejected all claims made by the applicants.
