A former Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has met with his former boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta.
According to a statement issued by the media aide to the former Vice President, Mr. Paul Ibe, the meeting took place behind closed doors at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library on Monday.
In the terse statement, Ibe wrote” HE Atiku Abubakar, Vice President of Nigeria (1999-2007) and Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (2023), today met behind closed doors with his former boss and President of Nigeria (1999-2007), HE Chief Olusegun Obasanjo at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.”
According to the statement, Atiku was accompanied on the trip by former Governor of Sokoto State, Sen. Aminu Tambuwal, former Governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke and Sen. Abdul Ningi, among others.
