PDP crisis: Anyanwu, Ude-Okoye disrupt BoT meeting

The board of trustees (BoT) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was temporarily disrupted on Wednesday ats supporters of Senator Samuel Anyanwu and Sunday Ude-Okoye clashed at the party national secretariat.

Both members are laying claim to the secretaryship of the party.

Trouble began after the opening ceremony when non-BoT members were told to leave the hall.

Ude-Okoye who was present at the meeting, refused to leave, resulting in Anyanwu’s aide, Emmanuel Okoronkwo assaulting him.

In retaliation, some boys who were mobilised by Ude-Okoye, scaled the locked gate into the compound and attacked Okoronkwo.

The situation was however brought under control, as the meeting went into closed down.
