Just-In: Tinubu presides over final 2024 FEC meeting at the Villa

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.

The meeting, which appears to be the final session for 2024, is being attended by key government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume; Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu; and Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack.

Vice President Kashim Shettima is absent as he is representing Nigeria in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at the commissioning and naming of a $315 million oil production and storage facility.

The two Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar and Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, are also not in attendance at the ongoing meeting.

As the year draws to a close, today’s FEC session is expected to address critical matters and provide an update on key government policies and programs.
