EPL: Maresca Confirms 'Big' Chelsea Injury After Aston Villa Win – 'It’s Bad News'

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has said Wesley Fofana could be out for over a month.

Fofana suffered a hamstring injury during their 3-0 Premier League win over Aston Villa on Sunday.

Nicolas Jackson, Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer all got on the score sheet for the Blues.

Chelsea’s victory came at a cost, though, with Fofana hobbling off in the second half and replaced by Benoit Badiashile.

“Unfortunately, it’s bad news,” Maresca said when asked for an update on Fofana.

“It’s a hamstring problem. These kinds of things require at least three, four, five weeks. In the way he was playing, it’s a big loss for us.

“But we have more players and we’ll try to find solutions.”

Fofana missed the entirety of last season through injury.
