Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has announced the adoption of 95 orphans in Kano, with a view to cater for their wellbeing, education and other essential needs.
Governor Yusuf announced this while having a special lunch with the 95 children presently under the care of the state Orphanage home since the lost of their biological parents.
The luncheon was part of activities marking the 2024 Independence Day anniversary in Kano.
A statement by the Governor’s Spokesperson Mr. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf declared full responsibility of the 95 Orphans henceforth.
According to him, “I want to annouce that we have assumed full responsibility of all the 95 orphans domiciled in this facility, we will take care of thier education from primary to tertiary, healthcare services, feeding and other social needs throughout my tenure”.
