Police fire teargas at protesters in Abuja

Police officers in the FCT fired tear gas at the “Fearless In October” protest in Abuja, which was organized to demonstrate against bad governance.

The protesters had gathered in the Utako area of Abuja, holding the Nigerian Green-White-Green flag and placards with messages such as “EndBadGovernance,” “DiasporaVoting,” and “EndHighLivingCosts.”

However, they were dispersed by the police, and videos shared online show the protesters running in all directions after the tear gas was deployed to disperse them.
