Oyo State government officials and leaders of the communities affected by the Ibadan Circular Road project are currently engaged in a closed-door meeting.
The meeting, which commenced at around 1:30 PM, is taking place in the Conference Room of the Ministry of Lands at the Oyo State Government Secretariat.
The government delegation includes Commissioners Prof. Dahud Sangodoyin (Works and Transport), Mr. Akin-Funmilayo (Lands), Executive Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security, CP Sunday Odukoya (rtd), and other security personnel.
Community leaders from the affected areas, including Egbeda, Ona-ara, Oluyole, Lagelu, and Akinyele, are also present.
Meanwhile, outside the Secretariat, residents continue their protest as the meeting progresses.
As of the time of this report, discussions are still underway.
