Food critic Opeyemi Famakin recently made serious accusations against celebrity businessman Cubana Chief Priest, alleging that the latter threatened him following a negative review he gave about his son’s restaurant in Owerri.
Taking to Instagram, Famakin shared a screenshot of a direct message from Cubana Chief Priest, in which the businessman allegedly warned him of potential consequences for his critique. The message reportedly included a disparaging remark, with Cubana Chief Priest calling Famakin a “low life” and suggesting that karma would handle the situation for giving what he described as a harsh review of his 6-year-old son’s restaurant.
Famakin, feeling unsafe after the exchange, expressed his urgency to leave Imo State and urged his supporters to hold Cubana Chief Priest accountable if anything happened to him. Notably, the allegations come after a previous polite comment from Cubana Chief Priest on the same review video, which contrasts with the alleged threatening message in Famakin’s DM. The situation has sparked concern, with followers closely monitoring the outcome.
The food critic wrote: “I Know A Threat When I See One, I guess Its Time To Leave Imo State ASAP. If anything happens to me while I am here, well, you know who to hold. I love how he was polite in the comment section for the world to see and it was a different tone in my Dm’s”
