Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, has addressed rumors that she was pregnant by American rapper Future. The speculation began after Tems attended Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2024 London Fashion Week show in December, where her form-fitting dress led some to believe she might be expecting.
In a recent interview on ‘The Breakfast Club,’ Tems questioned why Future was chosen as the alleged father in these rumors. She wondered why not someone like Wizkid or Drake, suggesting that the choice of Future was due to his controversial reputation.
“People always pick the most sensational stories,” Tems said. “Why Future? Why not Wizkid or Drake? If it were Drake, it would be just as crazy, but Future’s reputation as a ladies’ man and his five children made him the most controversial choice.”
During the interview, Tems also shared her musical inspirations, naming Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Ab-Soul, Andre 3000, and J.Cole. She was featured on Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’ album in 2021, and J.Cole was one of the only two guest artists on Tems’ debut album, ‘Born In The Wild,’ released this year.
