South Korean actress Han So Hee’s mother has been arrested for operating an illegal gambling business. According to South Korean media outlet TV Chosun, the arrest took place on September 2, 2024.
The mother, identified as Ms. Shin, is a 50-year-old woman who already has a strained relationship with her daughter due to her involvement in several fraud cases in the past.
This recent arrest marks her second for her alleged role in managing 12 illegal gambling establishments in cities such as Ulsan and Wonju since 2021.
Ms. Shin reportedly used “proxy owners” to run these establishments, where patrons could play games like baccarat through a gambling website she managed.
In recent years, she has also been involved in fraudulent activities, including borrowing money using her daughter Han So Hee’s name.
