Nigerian fashion designer Toyin Lawani has sparked significant discussion on social media after revealing the substantial amount she pays for her daughter’s monthly rent in the UK.
In a recent post, Lawani disclosed that she spends around N8.2 million each month on her daughter’s accommodation.
She praised parents who are able to support their children studying in the UK, recognizing the considerable financial burden this can impose.
Lawani also pointed out the stark difference between housing costs in the UK and Nigeria, noting that her daughter’s monthly rent is higher than the annual rent for some properties in Nigeria.
