Wahab mentioned that the state government has established a task force to apprehend individuals caught defecating along the roadside and issued a stern warning to the public against engaging in such activities.

He wrote, “The Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources today continued the total cleanup of Ojodu-Berger median, warns against defecating on the roadside, as the Lagos State Government set up a taskforce to arrest offenders.”

It was reported that the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) and the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency began a cleanup of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on August 13, targeting the elimination of open defecation along the highway median.

LASEPA also noted that the agencies were focusing on the median from OPIC Plaza to the Odetola Bridge, heading toward Lagos on the newly rehabilitated road.
