Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has been arrested and is now facing criminal charges over false allegations he made against his colleague, Davido.
The controversy began days before Davido’s wedding when Dammy Krane accused him of being a murderer and claimed that the DMW boss was only getting married because Chioma had caught him cheating.
These accusations have led to serious consequences. Davido’s lawyer gave Dammy Krane a 24-hour ultimatum to retract all offensive statements from his social media accounts and to cease making any further defamatory remarks against Davido. Failure to comply would result in legal action.
Despite the threat of a lawsuit, Dammy Krane continued to make incendiary claims, alleging that he witnessed Davido’s involvement in the death of his friend, Tagbo.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Dammy Krane revealed that he has been arrested and will face criminal charges for making defamatory statements against Davido.
He also mentioned that the police arrested him based on a petition accusing him of involvement in a Flutterwave and crypto scam, which he believes is a cover for the real issue.
