Tinubu Mourns Victims of Jigawa Flood

 

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the government and people of Jigawa State following the devastating floods that have swept through the region.

The floods, which have claimed lives and displaced numerous residents, have caused widespread destruction across 14 local government areas.

In a statement released on Wednesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu expressed profound sorrow over the loss of lives and the hardship faced by the affected communities. He emphasized his deep concern for those suffering as a result of the disaster.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu extends his profound condolences to the government and the people of Jigawa State over the recent flooding that has led to the loss of lives and the displacement of many citizens,” the statement read.

The President also conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved families, urging them to find strength during this trying period.

Tinubu emphasized the urgency of implementing and sustaining measures to combat climate change, citing the recurring nature of such environmental disasters.

He pointed out the need to address natural and man-made factors contributing to these challenges.

Assuring the people of Jigawa State of his administration’s support, Tinubu prayed for the souls of those who lost their lives in the tragedy and pledged to stand by the state as it navigates through this difficult time.
