The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates.
The announcement was made in a post on X on Monday.
How to Check Your WAEC 2024/2025 Examination Result
Follow these steps to check your WAEC 2024/2025 results:
ONLINE
- Open your web browser and visit www.waecdirect.org.
- Enter your WAEC registration number, PIN, serial number, and examination type.
- Double-check your details for accuracy and click the “Submit” button.
- Your results will be displayed on the screen.
SMS
1. Using your mobile device, type WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear
2. Send to 32327
3. You will receive a message instantly containing your WAEC statement of result.
Please note that only MTN, Glo & Airtel Subscribers can check their WAEC Results using this SMS method.
Note: If you did not receive your WAEC result via SMS, kindly repeat this step again.
SMS charges will be applied when checking your WASSCE result using text messages.
What You Need to Check Your WAEC 2024/2025 Result
- Internet-Enabled Device: Use a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
- WAEC Registration Number: The unique number assigned to you before the exam.
- Result Checker PIN: Required if you haven’t used the PIN on your WAEC ID card; otherwise, purchase a new PIN.
- Serial Number: Found on your WAEC ID card.
- Examination Type: Specify whether you were a Private or School candidate, as this affects your search.
If you have a WAEC ID card, it contains all the necessary details. Note that the PIN on your card has a limited number of uses; after that, you’ll need to buy a new one.
How to Purchase a New WAEC 2024/2025 Result Checker PIN
If your initial PIN has been used or you need a new one, you can purchase it through various outlets, with Remita being the most common option. Here’s how to buy a new PIN:
- Visit https://www.remita.net/.
- Find and click on the “Buy WAEC PIN” icon.
- Enter the required information and complete the Captcha to verify you’re not a robot.
- After clicking “Submit,” provide your payment details.
- The cost of the PIN through Remita is ₦4,000.00, plus additional Remita charges, totaling around ₦4,500.
